Dark Nine.
Part of the charm, if I may say so.

I think Nine does darkness the best of any of the Nu Who Doctors.  He’s angry and violent for a reason.  But when he does it, he’s not patriarchal (and vindictive) like 10 or moralizing like 11.  He knows what he’s doing is wrong, and that going through with it will cause him pain, but he does what needs to be done to protect what he cares about, and what he believes is not just moral for him, but what is objectively moral, and still he struggles with his choices.

Yes! This is so accurate! And even more reason imo to love Nine.

i’m going to miss dear nine aren’t i. this part of him broke my heart.

Yes, darling. It’s the saddest regeneration for me.

Forever sad.  I like the other Doctors but Nine was such an interesting, lovable character.  I miss him so.

Nine just felt more to me like a guy with nine hundred traumatic years of life behind him than either ten or eleven do (though ten was getting there at the end).
